Jennie believes that the greatest form of service is education. Her favorite subjects are AP Calculus and Writing. She is beyond thrilled to enrich the community by providing academic opportunities for all. Jennie serves as a secretary and volunteer tutor for National Honor Society. She is also a self-employed math tutor.
Sasha Shunko is extremely excited to get this organization running to touch as many lives as we can during this difficult time. Her favorite subjects are AP Economics and AP Biology. She serves as the current Secretary-Treasurer for Issaquah DECA, a business organization. We're all in this together - so let's work together to help as many students as we can!
Ananya's favorite subjects are AP Biology, AP English Language, and AP US History. She serves as the chapter president for Issaquah DECA and is Senior Vice President for the class of 2020. Ananya has won numerous awards in international piano competitions, and has played in Carnegie Hall twice! She hopes to study biology and business on the pre-med track in college.
ANNA O.
Anna Olsen has been an English peer tutor at her school for 3 years and loves it! Her favorite subjects are English and AP US Government & Politics. Anna is also on the executive board for Thespian Society and is the Director of Public Relations for Issaquah DECA. She will be continuing her studies at Western Washington University, where she will pursue a major in English and Theatre.
Eunseo K.
Eunseo's favorite subjects are psychology, social studies, and business classes. In her free time, Eunseo loves to read, swim, and play with her dog! Some organizations that she's passionate about include DECA, Girl scouts, and nonprofits. Eunseo is currently interning for a small business in their advertising department and hopes to study business and data science in college.
Quincy L.
Quincy's favorite subjects are math, science, and Automotive Technology. Outside of school, Quincy is a passionate wrestler, ranking top 32 in the state for his weight class. Outside of sports, Quincy is a proud member of his school's ASB and helps coordinate events at his school such as Homecoming. In his free time, he loves to play guitar and learn new languages. He hopes in the future to become an environmentalist or a EMT.
NAOMI S.
Naomi is very excited to help come up with ideas to support the organization! Her favorite subjects are History and Spanish. She tutors for National Honor Society. Naomi is the Director of Fundraising and Activism for Issaquah JSA and the Assistant Director of Production for Washington JSA.
MEGHANA A.
Meghana is really passionate about community service. Her favorite subjects are chemistry and physics. She thinks it's important to help people out in times of struggle and this is an awesome and accessible way for people to lift each other up. Meghana is also the Secretary for her school's Model United Nations chapter.
ESTHER S.
Esther's favorite subject is math, and she really enjoys her AP Human Geography class as well. Outside of school, she is involved in choir and theater, and she is on the PNW JSA cabinet for fundraising. Esther hopes to pursue a career in math or aviation in college, or to work with students with special needs.
Yubi m.
Yubi is an active tutor in her community, offering one-on-one and group services since she was in the seventh grade. Her favorite subjects are math, physics, and literature. Yubi's time in the Washington State Legislative Youth Advisory Council, Gates Foundation Youth Ambassador Program, and student government has shown her the importance of an accessible and personal education for underprivileged students. She hopes that the academic background she has enthusiastically built over the years will aid those in need.
SANJANA V.
Sanjana's favorite subjects are Sales & Marketing and Science. She is part of the theatre and choir program at the school where she is in the musicals and is a member of the International Thespian Society (ITS). Outside of the arts, Sanjana is a proud member of DECA and NHS as she loves all things business and works very hard to achieve her academic goals. In her free time Sanjana likes to jump off of diving boards and watch cheesy teen dramas.
Addy D.
Addy's favorite subject is history. Along with private tutoring, Addy is the Assistant Regional Director of Chapter Internal Affairs within the Junior State of America, a political activism organization. She works with the Citizen's Climate Lobby Youth Outreach Project to promote youth involvement in legislative climate change solutions! In her free time, Addy enjoys reading and going on runs.
Keiyu M.
Keiyu's favorite subjects are Math, Science, and English. He takes the Algebra 2 course online and helps students with their math in geometry class in the school. He is the Washington Association of Educators of the Talented and Gifted (WAETAG) scholarship awardee for his ideas of using music to help people in distress. Currently, he is the concertmaster in his school’s orchestra where he leads sectionals and demonstrates fundamentals. He will be joining the Chamber Ensemble at Shorewood High school Out.side of school, he plays the violin in the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra (SYSO) and receives the rating of 1-Superior at Solo and Ensemble from the Sno-King Music
Educators Association. In his spare time, he loves running. He won the Sno-King Cross Country District Championship in 2019. In the future, he aspires to be a lead engineer at McLaren automotive.
Kathie H.
Kathie's subjects are computer science and calculus. Kathie is interested in the STEM field and plan to major in computer science. Some school activities she is involved in include DECA (top 3 at state this year!), Science Olympiad, VOICE Mentoring, and gymnastics. Kathie also co-founded her school’s Girls Who Code club and is on the Honor Society officer team. Overall, she has a passion for learning and helping others learn!
Jacob L.
Jacob loves all his classes but he is the strongest in math! Extracurricularly, Jacob’s involved with the robotics and track team as well as various social-justice initiatives in the greater community. He’s interested in studying how technology can be applied to solving issues of equity. He has over 100 hours of peer-tutoring experience. Jacob is excited to engage with TEAM United as it grows!
WIlliam S.
William's favorite subject is math, especially calculus! As his school’s National Math Honors Society President, he is known for having an usually high fondness for Math; however being a Math nerd isn’t all William's known for. Wiliam can be recognized by his trademark fedora, being the leader of his school’s robotics team, and being very into competitive Super Smash Brother Ultimate. William is planning to go into Robotics and will most likely be majoring in mechanical / electrical engineering and minoring in computer science.
Olivia W.
Olivia's favorite subjects are music, math, and science. She would love to help people out with their college apps as well! Olivia will be studying Computer Science and Music Education at the University of Washington in the fall. Olivia participates in a variety of musical ensembles including the Evergreen Philharmonic and her local symphony, and also teaches private music lessons. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at different events around the community and hanging out with friends.
Lily M.
Lily's favorite subjects are English and Spanish. Outside of school Lily is extremely passionate about leadership. She serves as president of her temple board and member of the Woza Student Leadership Board and the Washington State Legislative Youth Advisory Council. She is also an avid soccer player for Eastside FC. In the future she hopes to study computer science.
Brielle A.
Brielle's favorite subjects are math, science, and writing. Brielle loves to run and is an athlete for her school's cross country and track teams. Outside of sports, Brielle plays and teaches cello, piano, and guitar. She is a part of Evergreen Philharmonic and works for Fleming School of Music. In her free time, she enjoys mountaineering with friends and family. In the future, she hopes to major in Pre Medicine and become a surgeon.
Josh D.
Josh's favorite subjects are computer science, math, and chemistry. An avid runner, Josh can often be found training and racing with his school's cross country/track teams, and was voted Most Inspirational because of his desire to ensure everyone enjoys the sport as much as he does. Always wanting to learn more about math, Josh took AP Calculus BC (as a sophomore!) and plans on continuing to advance in math through the Running Start program. In his free time he loves to program, play piano, write music, and aims to compete in piano competitions. In college, Josh hopes to major in computer science and minor in some form of music.
Jessica T.
Jessica's favorite subjects are math, physics, computer science, and American Sign Language. Jessica will attend the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), in the class of 2024, as an M32 in the Meyerhoff (STEM) Scholars program. She is a prospective computer science major. Beyond college, Jessica wants to research computer language modeling and machine learning. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano and guitar and studying ASL.
Elliott Z.
Elliott's favorite subjects are Math, Chemistry, and Computer Science. Outside of school, Elliott gains teaching experience from aiding Circus performing arts. He believes the highest form of mastery is teaching and is excited to aid other students in a variety of subjects. In his free time, Elliott enjoys composing music and hopes to pursue Biochemistry in the future.
Julia S.
Julia's favorite subject is Math. Outside of school, Julia loves to dance and play many different sports. She enjoys listening to music, mostly classic rock, and playing the piano in her free time. Julia used to attend Islander Middle School on Mercer Island and grew up on the island. Julia moved from Colorado when she was three, but Julia's love for hiking, skiing, and nature has stuck with her.
Nathan C.
Nathan's favorite subjects are Math, English, and History. He is 16 years old and moved from Taiwan to the United States about four years ago. Outside of school, Nathan is the Vice President of Fundraising of his school’s DECA club, a business organization for high-school students. He is also an active volunteer for FASCA. Nathan loves sports of any kind and plays viola as a hobby.
Sara M.
Sara's favorite subjects are AP Biology and AP Chemistry. Within school, she is an active member of the gymnastics team as well as the Treasurer of NHS. She is also the president and founder of the Cancer Awareness Club and the Indian Cultural Club, both of which she is heavily involved in. Outside of school Sara is very passionate about healthcare and improving the community around her, and spends time as an intern at Swedish Hospital. In the future, Sara hopes to major in Biochemistry and pursue a career in medicine.
Nicole W.
Nicole's favorite subjects are math, physics, and orchestra! She enjoys playing piano and wins many competitions in her local area. She also plays cello in the Evergreen Philharmonic. Besides music, Nicole is involved in Club Med and Science Club at her high school. This year, her science bowl team received best sportsmanship award this year at the regional science bowl. In the future, Nicole aspires to become an engineer and/or entrepreneur, since she loves math and physics. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys hiking, traveling, listening to music, watching good shows, and eating good food.
Abhinav A.
Abhi's favorite subjects are Computer Science, Chemistry, and Economics. Abhi is a leader in both his schools’ DECA chapter (top 5 at ICDC last year) and Aerospace Club. He is also on the rowing team. Outside of school, Abhi works at a congressional campaign and leads a community service group with hopes to teach technology proficiency to senior citizens.
Hannah C.
Hannah Chang's favorite subjects are history, language arts, and math. Additionally, she is a current representative for ASB class council.Hannah loves being involved with leadership and helping out my school and community as much as possible. She also love working with kids! Hannah hopes that in the future she can continue to work with kids and hopefully pursue other studies that she enjoy such as medicine. Hannah aspires to help kids become more passionate and excited about subjects at school while learning the best way that works for them.
Amy O.
Amy's favorite subjects are English and Biology. Amy really likes to dance and is currently on my school’s competitive dance team! Extracurricularly, Amy is the co-founder of Skyline's Women in Stem Environments (WiSE) Club and she serve as the Club Secretary currently. When Amy is not at school or in dance practice, she loves to read and edit videos! In the future, Amy would love to work in medicine as a biomedical scientist.
Nikki S.
Nikki's favorite subjects are Math, Chemistry, and Sculpture. When Nikki is not in school she is an active member of the YMCA Teen Volunteer Corps and helps organize events for underprivileged children. She enjoys playing piano, being a member of Key Club and playing tennis for her high school to maintain a physically active life. In her free time she loves to play the ukulele, paint and garden. She is working towards becoming a AI specialist in her future.
Julia K.
Julia loves anything related to history! Julia is an active member of the Evergreen Philharmonic, playing the viola and participating in both large and small ensembles. Outside of school, she enjoys studying linguistics, hanging out with her cats, and learning more about her Ukrainian heritage. She hopes to pursue natural language processing in the future and learn more about how to apply the use of natural language in computer applications.
Agetha M.
Agetha's favorite subjects are biology, chemistry, and calculus. In her free time, Agetha loves to read and spend time with her friends and family. Within school, Agetha is the Executive Assistant for Western's Got Talent and a member of her university's Pre-Med Society. Agetha is also a Project Leader for Linens N Love, a non-profit organization that works to donate linens to those in need. In the future, Agetha hopes to pursue a career in healthcare.
Meghana N.
Meghana's favorite subjects are math and science. Meghana's hobbies include social advocacy, playing the piano, reading, writing, debate, and spending time with her family. Her plans for the future include hopefully pursuing neurosurgery. She is very passionate about spelling as well and is a co-founder of the spelling organization Spell for Success.
Matthew K.
Matthew's favorite subjects are AP Calculus and Biology. His passion lies in the STEM field, as he serves as a coach at his local middle school's Math Club. Matthew has also had year-long tutoring experience in the past. He is excited to serve his community and work with other students to advance them in their academic journey.
Arushi J.
Arushi's favorite subjects are math and science. She is a part of the robotics team and the co founder and Vice President of the AI club. She mentors the middle school robotics team and is passionate about spreading her love for STEM through tutoring and mentoring. She loves to sing and dance and in her free time, she plays basketball, paints and codes. She hopes to pursue pre med and computer science in the future.
Sophia c.
Sophia's favorite subjects in school include World History, Spanish, and Writing. She is an avid cross country runner, track and field participant, and gymnast. In her free time she loves to play the harp and bake, and she hopes to become an elementary school teacher in the future as she enjoys teaching other students a variety of subjects. She is so excited to work with TEAM United!
Maya t.
Maya's favorite subjects in school are Precalculus, AP Biology, and AP Psychology. She loves tutoring and helping her community, as she has worked as a tutor for over two years and is a Learn to Skate instructor at her local rink. Outside of school, Maya is passionate about figure skating and piano. She hopes to pursue a career in the medical field in the future.
Brianna Y.
Brie's favorite subjects include history and literature, art and design. She has been. volunteer leader at the Special Olympics and various food banks. She is also an assistant leader at the YMCA, as well as tutored young students. Brie has placed in the top five for the past two years in her Swim and Dive state championships. Aside from swimming, she loves fashion, arts, entrepreneurship, and helping others. She aims for a brighter future by providing support, and resources to those in need during these times along with hopes of swimming in college and studying business.
Michelle k.
Michelle's favorite subjects are math and science. In school, she is class treasurer, a member of Model UN club, and on the school soccer team. Outside of school she serves as a Vice President of Philanthropy at the National Charity League and plays club soccer. In the future she plans on becoming an environmental engineer.
Aya g.
Aya's favorite subjects are math, physics, and Latin. She enjoys learning languages, and loves attending Japanese School on Saturdays. She plays and teaches piano, played as a pianist for an Italian restaurant for two years, and spends time practicing and competing in karate. Aya is grateful for the chance to help others during this time and is excited to participate in tutoring!
Paige B.
Paige Bryan loves all things involving math! Paige is an active member of the her school's Robotics Team, working in mechanical engineering. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, writing, tennis, and playing the flute. Paige hopes to pursue a career in mechanical engineering in the future. She is so excited to start working with students! She hopes that she will learn a few things alongside them.

Andrew's favorite subject is science. In his free time. Andrew loves to go fishing and hiking. He is an avid swimmer and runner. Andrew also loves to paint and he enjoys cooking. He recently picked up the guitar and hope to sing and play by the campfire next fall. Andrew is excited to start working with TEAM United and is thankful for the opportunity to help others during this time.
Erik b.
Erik's favorite subjects are Linguistics, Math, and Chemistry. Erik is employed at a Japanese workplace, having garnered hundreds of hours of experience communicating with natives at a fluent level. He is the president-elect for his school's Japanese club from 2020-2021, under the belief that knowledge is best used for the service of others. His hobbies include pole vaulting, studying foreign languages, and obsessively photographing his two cats. Erik hopes to pursue medicine or biochemistry after high school.
SHERRY B.
Sherry is I very passionate about Taekwondo and have competed in the North West Taekwondo Festival for 2 consecutive years. She is also part of the Taekwondo Leadership Team at her dojang and is so excited to learn how to be a leader and teach kids soon! Sherry is currently in the National Honors Society at Skyline and holds a leadership position as secretary in Skyline’s Fighting Hunger Club. She loves helping out others and she can’t wait to be a part of your student’s academic journey!
